At dawn the other
morning I went out
to get a quick
picture of the
sunrise over Squaw
Peak here in Phoenix
and noticed a hummer
just sitting on the
feeder.
I thought I
recognized him as
the "King Of The
Feeder" so I was
surprised to see
him just sitting
there while he was
being attacked by
another hummer.
I figured this would
be a short lived
encounter with no
chance for a picture
but I figured its
gotta be worth a try
....and try I
did and lo and
behold the hummers
co-operated and here
are the best of the
pictures I got that
I call "Duel at
Dawn"

of a sudden an
intruder with
talons at the
ready....
The attack and then it was over and they flew off one chasing the other.
